Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2nd, 2026 / RPM Strategies, LLC d/b/a Throttix

This Privacy Policy explains how RPM Strategies, LLC d/b/a Throttix ("Throttix," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Throttix platform (the "Service"). Please read it alongside our Terms of Service.

01Who we are and our role

Throttix provides shop management software to automotive performance and repair shops ("Shops"). Shops use the Service to manage their business and to communicate with their own customers ("Customers") about quotes, work orders, builds, appointments, and related services.

This distinction matters for how your data is handled:

  • When you are a Shop using Throttix, we act as a controller of your account and business information, and as a processor of the Customer information you enter into the Service on your customers' behalf.
  • When you are a Customer of a Shop, the Shop — not Throttix — decides what information to collect about you and why. The Shop is the controller of your information. Throttix acts as a processor that handles that information under the Shop's instructions.
If you are a Customer

If you want to access, correct, or delete your information, please contact the Shop you did business with. We will assist that Shop in responding to your request.

02Information we collect

Information Shops provide to us

  • Account and contact details (name, email, phone, business name, address).
  • Billing information (processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Content Shops create in the Service (builds, quotes, work orders, notes, uploaded photos, videos, and files).

Information Shops enter about their Customers

  • Customer name, phone number, email, and address.
  • Vehicle information (year, make, model, VIN, and related details).
  • Service, build, quote, and communication history.
  • SMS consent status and records.

Information collected automatically

  • Log and device data (IP address, browser type, pages accessed, timestamps).
  • Usage data and product analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9).

03How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Enable Shops to communicate with their Customers, including by text message where a Customer has consented.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Provide support and respond to requests.
  • Monitor security, detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We process Customer information solely to provide the Service to the Shop and under the Shop's instructions. We do not use Customer information for our own independent purposes.

04Text messaging (SMS)

Shops may use the Service to send text messages to their Customers about quotes, work orders, build status, appointments, and related service matters.

  • Customers consent to receive these messages through the Shop, and only Customers who have opted in receive them.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Customers can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and can get help by replying HELP.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Opt-in data

We do not share text messaging opt-in data or consent with any third parties for their marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties other than the subprocessors (such as our messaging provider) that deliver the messages on the Shop's and our behalf.

05Email communications

Shops may use the Service to send email to their Customers about quotes, work orders, build status, appointments, and related service matters. Email addresses are collected and controlled by the Shop and processed by Throttix under the same controller/processor terms described above.

  • Customers can unsubscribe from a Shop's emails using the unsubscribe link included in the messages, and Shops are responsible for honoring those requests.
  • We use an email delivery subprocessor to send messages on the Shop's and our behalf.
  • We do not sell email addresses, and we do not share them with third parties except with the subprocessors that deliver the email or as otherwise described in Section 6 (How we share information).

06How we share information

We share information only as described here:

  • With Service Providers / Subprocessors who perform functions on our behalf — for example, cloud hosting, messaging delivery, payment processing, email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics. These providers are permitted to use information only to perform services for us.
  • Between a Shop and its Customers, as inherent in the Service (for example, a build timeline a Customer can view).
  • For legal reasons, if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Throttix, our users, or others.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

07Data retention

We retain information for as long as an account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Shops may request deletion of their account data; Customer information is retained or deleted according to the Shop's instructions and applicable law.

08Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

10Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

  • Shops may exercise these rights by contacting us at the address below.
  • Customers should direct requests to the Shop that collected their information, as that Shop is the controller. We will support the Shop in fulfilling valid requests.

11Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice.
